Good to know

Song, playlist, or artist — which link?

All three work. A song link plays one track; a playlist link opens the list; an artist link opens the profile. Pick the one your audience should land on.

Does it open in the Spotify app?

On most phones, yes — tapping the scanned link offers the app if installed, otherwise it opens in the browser. Free accounts can open it too.

Is this the same as a Spotify Code?

No. Spotify Codes are the scannable barcodes inside the Spotify app. A QR code works everywhere — posters, print, packaging — with any phone camera, no Spotify app needed to scan.

Does it expire?

No. Static codes never expire and need no account.
